Yes. You said you're creating all files named mail-PID -- a 15-bit PID space
might wrap in an hour on a moderately busy server. If you've got mail in the
.../new/ directory that's an hour old, you could lose mail.
As for forwarding, you can set NEWSENDER to be whatever you want, and the
message will go out with that as the envelope sender.
