In my third blurry eyed day of getting a qmail server up. Not a Linux expert, but have been admin of a sendmail server for a year or two, and want to ge rid of it!
Big Thanks to Dave Sill, I have faithfully follwed Lifewithqmail. Everything has gone smoothly. I am at the point of testing. The TEST.deliver tests were successful. However, I cannot quite figure out what is happening with the smtp tests in TEST.receive. I send the mail via smtp. Everything is okay. The mail does not end up in the Mailbox. I look a the log. It shows a successful delivery to:
local @my.mail.svr
The log also records a successful status.Where is this mail going? Why is it addressed to "local" instead of the user name? I am sure this is a simple configuration, and I will be reprimanded for not reading more. But I have been reading, perhaps just too bleary eyed at this point.
