what do the logs say (tm) ?
most probably (iam not sure about use of qmail-inject) you should use 
to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] for local delivery

how does your startup file for tcpserver look ?

logs are always good, ans so are the startup files
probably its the best way, if you reinstall qmail from scratch, 
following life with qmail ( www.lifewithqmail.org )
its one of the most complete qmail-how-to's out there
