HI,

I am curious about this as well..

I had compiled vpop 5.3.8 --enable-clearpasswd=y and qmailadmin was
fine.. but i was having the intermitent "can
't login" problem with courier-imap. so I recompiled vpopmail 5.3.8
--enable-clearpasswd=n, then i recompiled qmailadmin cause i had patched
ezmlm with ezmlm-idx and created some new accounts.. those accounts
don't show up in qmailadmin 1.06, though no problem in vqadmin, and i
checked `cat vpassdb` all the users are there.. Though I have not
recompiled vqadmin.

userone:$fdsjkl;lk;lk;lkssdfsE1:1:0:user1:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com/u
sertwo:NOQUOTA:password
usertwo:$1Z0iZsdfdsfsdfJevdfjlkjslkjayY/c/:1:0:usertwo:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com/user2
:NOQUOTA:password
userthree:$1dfskasfdfkljasdfslku0:1:0:userthree:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com
/userthree:NOQUOTA:password
userfour:$1sdfadffsffffffffsssssfdsfemY0:1:0:Postmaster:/home/vpopmail/domains
/ekdev.com/userfour:NOQUOTA:password

this is the cat of vpasswd...

ok..

i fixed it.. I read this in the archives..

this is the new cat vpasswd

userone:$fdsjkl;lk;lk;lkssdfsE1:1:0:user1:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com/u
sertwo:NOQUOTA
usertwo:$1Z0iZsdfdsfsdfJevdfjlkjslkjayY/c/:1:0:usertwo:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com/user2
:NOQUOTA
userthree:$1dfskasfdfkljasdfslku0:1:0:userthree:/home/vpopmail/domains/ekdev.com
/userthree:NOQUOTA
userfour:$1sdfadffsffffffffsssssfdsfemY0:1:0:Postmaster:/home/vpopmail/domains
/ekdev.com/userfour:NOQUOTA

I got rid of :password (the no encrypted password)

so that fixed it.. i did it by hand cause only had a few domains and
users..

Ian..
