I have removed the /etc/cron.hourly/qmail file, but still no joy.

I think I may have not explained myself very well.
I imagine the /var/qmail/users/assign & /var/qmail/users/assign.passwd are
for users login, I have not got as far as setting up users yet.

My problem is login to postmaster via http://localhost/cgi-bin/qmailadmin
I use vadddomain mail.home.net and supply passwords.
This seems to add an entry in /home/vpopmail/domains/mail.home.net/vpasswd
and /home/vpopmail/domains/mail.home.net/vpasswd.cdb
File /home/vpopmail/domains/mail.home.net/vpasswd has the following info
(all one line):
postmaster:$1$Z.eo2$4swEBV2JLCh8QS2s872K8.:1:0:Postmaster:
/home/vpopmail/domains/mail.home.net/postmaster:NOQUOTA:password

This login from the web interface is what is failing with Invalid Login
