Qmailadmin has a pre-requisite of vpopmail. I don't see this listed in
your software list.

Subject: [qmailadmin] QmailAdmin with qmail and POSIX users in LDAP?

Hi,

I have a task of creating an open source Exchange-like server,
something you all have heard many times before.....

I know all the software I want to use, and I am *nearly* pulling
it all together too :

Server :

RedHat 8.0
qmail (qmail-smtpd, qmail-pop3d)
Cyrus-IMAP
OpenLDAP

I intend on having POSIX accounts in the LDAP directory, and
using pam_ldap and pam_nss to get all the authentication et. al.
done via LDAP.

Users will have Outlook 2000 with the Bynari Insight connector
plug in so that the server will act as a Exchange server, thats
why I need Cyrus's support for ACL's.

I am having a few problems fitting the software together in my
head though!

Another requirement is that it is administrated via a web page,
so I was thinking of using QmailAdmin - but this is where I get
confused :) If I add a user in QmailAdmin will this create a
user in the LDAP directory because of the pam_ldap and pam_nss ?

If not, does anyone know a way I can have a single point of admin
for the users in LDAP and the users for qmail via a web page?

Does anyone see what I am trying to do, and if so know how I can
pull all this stuff together?
