Just wanted to report success with the following :

vpopmail 5.3.21
qmailadmin 1.0.23
maildrop 1.5.3
spamassassin 2.55
Jeff Hedlund's mailfilter rules (thanks Jeff!)
    (see: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=qmailadmin&m=105689448125793&w=2)

Vpopmail 5.3.21 processes .qmail files, even for catch all accounts.

Glad to hear the success!

Jeff's mailfilter parses the user directory, rather than relying on $HOST and $EXT (which still didn't seem to work for me under vpopmail 5.3.21)

Right, they won't work for the catchall with a /Maildir/. Which is why I decided to use the PWD--to me it makes more sense anyway (you're already in the directory with the path naming both the user and the domain).

I hacked user.c (in qmailadmin) to allow users to set spamassassin "required_hits" values and create .spamassassin/user_prefs files in their directory.

I also hacked user.c (in qmailadmin) to allow users to select a "spamaction" (nothing, tag subject, file to spamfolder, delete)

I'm interested in seeing the patches/hacks, to see how you decided on doing things. It would be appropriate to send them to qmailadmin-devel list (see http://www.sf.net/project/qmailadmin, go to Lists).

As an aside, I wrote a comment concerning the "nothing, tag subject, file to spam folder, delete" options here:

I'd be interested if you have any thoughts on that thread.

Jeff
