Well, I don't really want to use MySQL. I think 1.2.0 should work since
1.0.6 does (as far as suid goes). What suid settings should I look for to
make sure they are correct?
I had assumed the problems were MySQL related...
If you're using CDB backend, then it should be working fine. QmailAdmin has enough privileges to access the vpasswd file to authenticate users, so it should also have enough access to create the .qmail-alias file.
If you could test some of the other releases (like 1.0.28) on qmailadmin.sf.net, it might help narrow down where the problem was introduced.
