It only modifies that file when you change the catchall. You could look through the source code for portions that modify .qmail-default in command.c and user.c.


I've been considering whether we should modify vpopmail/qmailadmin to have it store the 'catchall' information in a separate file so people can build custom qmail-default files that won't get trashed.

We could just store it in a one-line file like .vpopmail-catchall and have a new option to vdelivermail (usefile?).
