Hello,

I am unable to log into qmailadmin. Unfortunately the drive has nosuid set, so I can't set this to work with the suid bit.

system setup:
gentoo: 2.6 kernel
qmail: 1.03-r13
qmail-scanner: 1.25-r1
qmailadmin: 1.2.1
vpopmail: 5.4.6-r1

I have a mount setup as follows:
/dev/hda6 on /var type ext3 (rw,nodev,noatime)
/dev/hda8 on /home type ext3 (rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime)

Which prevents use of the suid for my qmailadmin executable:
---x--x--x 1 vpopmail vpopmail 156712 Apr 13 04:21 qmailadmin

And my vpopmail dir looks like so:
HavenShade bin # ls -l
total 1980
-rwx--x--x 1 root root 74440 Apr 7 02:52 clearopensmtp

I'm not sure which of these is responsible for the qmailadmin login process, although it looks like any of them should be executable.

I checked out the apache logs, and noted this tasty morsel, which appears at each login attempt:

[Fri Apr 22 03:24:17 2005] [error] [client 192.168.221.201] mod_mime_magic: can't read `/xxxxxxxx/qmailadmin/cgi-bin/qmailadmin', referer: http://xxxxxxxx.org/cgi-bin/qmailadmin

So I tried to chmod /xxxxxxxx/qmailadmin/cgi-bin/qmailadmin to 777, but this didn't change the error output in the least.

Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
