How does qmailadmin count the free (occupied) mailbox storage capacity? Where can i read about it?
It uses the maildirsize file in the user's directory. Vpopmail has maildir++ support built in, and you should patch your qmail, and POP/IMAP server to support it as well (if it doesn't already). This way, all mail delivery and pickup will be logged in that file, so it will accurately reflect the size of the user's maildir without having to recalculate it on every delivery.
