Hi,
Hoping this the correct place to send question regarding
autorespond?(I've tried contacting the devlopers in the readme without
success).
Having some trouble trying to adjust the "From:" address in autorespond(2.05)
I have the following .qmail file: (Generated by qmailadmin - with
slight alteration - "$" appended as per the autorespond readme)
# cat /home/vpopmail/domains/datafx.com.au/0/georders/.qmail |
/usr/local/bin/autorespond 86400 10 |
/home/vpopmail/domains/datafx.com.au/0/georders/vacation/message |
/home/vpopmail/domains/datafx.com.au/0/georders/vacation $
&[EMAIL PROTECTED]
And the following test "message":
# cat /home/vpopmail/domains/datafx.com.au/0/georders/vacation/message
From: Support <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Help Response
This is a response to your help request.
Below is a copy of the message we received.
Yet, when I send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], I get the
following as the body(With the actual From: address remaining as
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]"):
From: Support <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Help Response
This is a response to your help request.
Below is a copy of the message we received.
As you can see, the autoresponder is not honouring the message file
contents(From: + Subject:) - I have tried the .qmail file with and
without the "$" appended - As per the README:
arsender - from address in generated message, or:
+ = blank from envelope !
$ = To: address will be used
Am I doing something incorrect here, or is this a bug?
There was a discussion on the qmailadmin list regarding this a while
ago, but no resolution:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg05860.html
Is autorespond still a viable autoresponder - Or is there an
alternative qmailadmin can use?
Regards,
MB
