[qmailadmin] Errors copying to sent

I'm having intermittent problems with clients attempting to send 
messages.  It seems to be most frequent when there is a load on the 
server (cpu load > 1).  Typically what happens is that an error message 
comes up and says the SMTP server cannot be contacted but in reality, 
the message is sent and the error occurs when copying the message to the 
sent folder.  Any ideas on what might be causing this?
