After upgrading all the toaster package (on rht9) as per the install instructions/script I get the following error "421 unable to read controls (#4.3.0)" in response to telnet localhost 25

The install went fairly smoothly (I think), although I got a few *.rpmsave and *.rpmnew files since /var/qmail/controls etc. was not empty (full list included below).

btw, can you tell me what ownership servercert.pem and
clientcert.pem should have?

(I have done a  /var/qmail/bin/qmail-newu)

I can't seem to get any smtp connections going on the server although pop3 login seems to work OK (comes out 'PLAIN' in the log - does this mean it's not using mySQL??)

When I ALRM qmail-send it starts sending for perhaps a minute then just hangs and nothing else happens.

I have posted a bounced message below.

I can only find spamd errors in the (spamd) logfile. Doesn't appear there are any other errors from the logs.

MySQL is up and running
I believe the UID and GID for vpopmail etc. are the same as before.

My customers are going crazy!

Thx in advance.
