Yep I think that might be your problem. Your firewall seems to have a strict policy, not allowing outgoing connections except for HTTP via the proxy service. Usually firewalls only block incoming connections, not outgoing - unless you want to have strict control to block users from using Yahoo, MSN, Kazaa, etc.
Good luck. So, I open the needed ports including web, pop3, smtp, and tcp 5050 (ym). I might need to change the default policy for testing. I have asked this question too in the shorewall list, nothing come up yet. -- Fajar Priyanto | Reg'd Linux User #327841 | Linux tutorial http://linux2.arinet.org 09:53:42 up 1:49, 2.6.14-1.1653_FC4 GNU/Linux Let's use OpenOffice. http://www.openoffice.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
