Hi all,
I want to set up a secondary server just to do outgoing mail. I have it
set up already with sendmail, but it is far to slow.
There will be no active email accounts to receive mail on this machine
at all. It is simply the machine that everyone will connect to (known
IPs on our local networks) to send outgoing mail.
The main reason for this is that I have an opt-in list of almost a
quarter million addresses that we send a newsletter to quite often. I
need all mail sent to this server to be sent out. If it is for my
domain I still need it sent out to the proper server (the one listed in
our MX record).
How can I set this up without having all of the local mail
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) try to stay on this server, but still show the proper
domain name for outgoing mail, also having the undeliverable messages
show up in the right mailbox on the incoming server?
In sendmail it was just a matter of putting my domain and the IPs of the
valid senders into relay-domains. It would seem that some combination
of defaultdelivery and locals. Any help would be appreciated.
TIA,
Warren
