No. Log example (names and IP's changed for obvious reasons):
Sep 3 09:14:35 elmer smtpd: 1157292875.827196 tcpserver: pid 14282
from 88.888.88.88
I'm about to upgrade a server running the same toaster version:
qmail-toaster-1.03-1.2.10
Your log messages don't appear to be standard. Mine says (e.g.):
2006-09-03 07:44:58.304677500 tcpserver: pid 16552 from 222.33.111.243
Have you customized the log?
Yes and No, yes I have because we maintain centralized logging (for
archival purposes), since we have
more than one server, I run splogger off the end to do centralized
logging to a centralized logging
server running syslog-ng. May be a little backwards in terms of the
multilog, but, I can go to any
year/mo/day for log review and monitoring. Just an implementation
detail. However, if multi-log
can do centralized logging of it's messages, I do like multilog better,
since the syslog (port 514) could
potentially loose packets.
