While I'd like to encourage you to use the qt-plus package, if you happen to
have a problem with it you can still get the upgrade scripts from
http://qmt.shubes.net. You'll need all 3 of the qtp-* scripts. And don't
neglect to read over the wiki upgrading page:
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Upgrading
Let us know how it goes!

Hi Guys
Ok so the powers that be really want me to resolve this amazon issues
as
posted previously. I could just recompile the current version of
qmail-toaster rpm and make the changes to chkuser_settings.h, or I
could
try to install the current version of qmail-toaster rpm.
I don't know what pitfalls I may encounter trying to update the
qmail-toaster rpm? I mean is it going to be dependant on me updating
some of the other rpms too? Im not fussed about updating the lot of
them, if im sure its not going to cause me too much hassle.
Anyway, I've compiled a comparison of my installed rpms vs the latest

A question mark (?) means im not sure what it is as it doesn't seem to
be mentioned on the site and a (X) means I don't actually need the
package.
I know this is a big ask, but I have the big boss's breathing down my
neck. Its times like now that make me wish Id built a development box
alongside the live one so I could test this stuff L

Josh,
You're already running the 1.3 branch of toaster, so upgrading should be
no
big deal. Have you used the qtp-newmodel script? If not, I highly
recommend
it, as long as you have 2-3G free on the toaster (I recommend using the
'copied' sandbox if you have the free disk space). It'll build the
binary
rpms without touching your running toaster. The actual upgrade (in your
case) should be done in just 1-2 minutes of downtime, as all package
upgrades will be done in a single rpm -Uvh command. The entire process
will
probably take 2 hours or so though, building the sandbox and compiling
the
packages. You'll also find out if there are any installation issues
before
committing to do the upgrade.
You *could* customize your existing qmail-toaster package, but that
would
require more downtime, and it only solves the one problem. Why not solve
the
problem and get current all at once, with less pain?
