I have the following entries in my zones domain.com.

mail.domain.com. IN A 111.222.333.444
sub.domain.com. IN A 111.222.333.444
;mx
sub.domain.com IN MX 10 mail.domain.com.
I have also done tests in dnsstuff.com and my mx record is found.
Look in your queue to see if it's stuck.
qmailctl queue
