I thought I was the only one doing this...

Archiving of logs for at least a year (in legal terms "transmission
information") is a legal MUST here in spain, at least.

I'm interested in developing a few simple scripts for qtp that would handle
log archive processing. I'm thinking of simply renaming them to a
CCYY-MM-DD_HH:MM:SS.a format in their current directory, then having a daily
cron job remove them after a specified time interval. This sounds like it
might fit your requirements. How are you presently handling log archival?
