Hey Gabriel,
I don't know how these steps apply in your situation. qtp-newmodel does that
stuff when upgrading from an older system, but that shouldn't concern you
since you simply need to migrate the data from 1.0.n to 1.3.n toaster.
Check the list archives. I remember someone several months ago upgrading
from 1.0.n. I don't recall if that was a single host upgrade or a migration
from host to host.
It doesn't appear that anything from those exchanges made it to the wiki.
Please take notes along the way and post them to the wiki so that others may
follow your footsteps.
Doing a single domain first is wise. How many domains do you have? How many
users?
I honestly can't tell you what you can simply copy across. I'm guessing that
the Maildir directories for users would come across clean. I'd recommend
using vadddomain to create the domains, and either enter users in using
vadduser (if there aren't 100's of them) or write a script to invoke
vadduser using input from a prepared text file (I think you might find such
a script in the list archives). The problem you face is primarily (like you
said) the addition of MySQL. Using the commands is the easiest (and safest)
way to get domains and users loaded properly into MySQL. Believe me, I've
looked at the tables. They're a bit obscure, to say the least.
The only other thing that comes to my mind is the possibility of .qmail or
.whatever files you may be using in the old version. I don't know what to
tell you there, as I haven't seen a toaster that old.
Good luck, and please take notes.
