I have 4GB of Ram in this machine. I really know nothing about tunning
MySQL (I am aware of my.cnf in the /etc directory). Since I am not seeing
any MySQL errors, I am not sure where to begin.

This message goes away if I restart MySQL. I am not seeing any errors in
the MySQL log as seen below. Is there some SQL tunning that needs to be
done if there are more than a couple hundred users?

You can adjust mysql settings by adding options to your /etc/my.cnf file.
Are you low on RAM on this system or anything? I run several hundred users
on my machines without this issue.
