Sorry for the late reply, Peter. I've been away.
Likely is a problem with the unionfs. Which dist/kernel version are you
running? Are you running a unionfs sandbox? I'm guessing that a copied or
linked sandbox would work. It'd be nice to get the problem fixed regardless.
