The svn repository is accessible by anyone for reading (anonymous checkout
works). Simply
# svn co http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/svn my-local-repo-dir

I probably not thinking clearly yet, but I'd expect much of it to work
as-is. Exceptions would be yum- and rpm- related stuff (obviously).

I'd suggest tackling the qtp-whatami script early on, and have it create a
new variable indicating package type (deb|rpm). That variable can then be
interrogated whenever a script needs to determine which to use.

Just a few 'early' thoughts.

P.S. I'm getting a "temporary DNS problem" from CHKUSER when trying to send
directly to you as well. When I try to "dig" your domain, I get "no servers
could be reached". :(
