Ganesh, Every time I have had similar problems with slowness, it has been caused by one of the rbl's that I was using.  (My problem was slow smtp connections when sending.  Sometimes my mail clients would time out while waiting to send.) This may not be the source of your problem, but you might try taking rbl servers out of  /var/qmail/control/blacklists one at a time to see if one of them is causing your problem.  Obviously, if you are not using blacklists, this would not be your issue.
