Hello list,

I`m using qmailtoaster with centos 5.0, and I`m searching a way to configure so that all the users can receive .dwg in attach but only users designed can send this attachs. Do I manage to do that using the qmailtoaster? Using one patch or something?

Thanks so much all, and forgive my english.

Best regards

Rafael

in my case, I have to setup 2 qmailtoaster, 1 for incoming (MX/pop3) only, and 1 for outgoing (smtp) only
on MX/pop3 box I only have this rule, so everybody can rcvd zip file

:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=10,attach=.3gp:.ade:.adp:.app:.asd:.asf:.asp:.asx:.avi:.bas:.bat:.bin:.chm:.cil:.cla:.class:.cmd:.com:.cpl:.crt:.csh:.css:.dll:.dot:.email:.exe:.fxp:.hlp:.hta:.inf:.ins:.isp:.js:.jse:.ksh:.lnk:.mda:.mde:.mdt:.mdw:.mdz:.mkv:.mov:.mp3:.mpe:.mpeg:.mpg:.msc:.msi:.msp:.mst:.nws:.ocx:.ogg:.ogm.ops:.pcd:.pif:.pl:.pm:.pot:.prf:.prg:.ps:.rar:.reg:.scf:.scr:.sct:.shb:.shm:.shs:.url:.vb:.vbe:.vbs:.vxd:.wav:.wmd:.wmf:.wms:.wmv:.wmz:.wsc:.wsf:.wsh:.wsz:.xsl:.xlt:.xlw

and on smtp box, I define this rule
- all user can't sent zip
- but some users can sent zip
so I create this rule

[email protected]:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=10,attach=.3gp:.ade:.adp:.app:.asd:.asf:.asp:.asx:.avi:.bas:.bat:.bin:.chm:.cil:.cla:.class:.cmd:.com:.cpl:.crt:.csh:.css:.dll:.dot:.email:.exe:.fxp:.hlp:.hta:.inf:.ins:.isp:.js:.jse:.ksh:.lnk:.mda:.mde:.mdt:.mdw:.mdz:.mkv:.mov:.mp3:.mpe:.mpeg:.mpg:.msc:.msi:.msp:.mst:.nws:.ocx:.ogg:.ogm.ops:.pcd:.pif:.pl:.pm:.pot:.prf:.prg:.ps:.rar:.reg:.scf:.scr:.sct:.shb:.shm:.shs:.url:.vb:.vbe:.vbs:.vxd:.wav:.wmd:.wmf:.wms:.wmv:.wmz:.wsc:.wsf:.wsh:.wsz:.xsl:.xlt:.xlw [email protected]:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=10,attach=.3gp:.ade:.adp:.app:.asd:.asf:.asp:.asx:.avi:.bas:.bat:.bin:.chm:.cil:.cla:.class:.cmd:.com:.cpl:.crt:.csh:.css:.dll:.dot:.email:.exe:.fxp:.hlp:.hta:.inf:.ins:.isp:.js:.jse:.ksh:.lnk:.mda:.mde:.mdt:.mdw:.mdz:.mkv:.mov:.mp3:.mpe:.mpeg:.mpg:.msc:.msi:.msp:.mst:.nws:.ocx:.ogg:.ogm.ops:.pcd:.pif:.pl:.pm:.pot:.prf:.prg:.ps:.rar:.reg:.scf:.scr:.sct:.shb:.shm:.shs:.url:.vb:.vbe:.vbs:.vxd:.wav:.wmd:.wmf:.wms:.wmv:.wmz:.wsc:.wsf:.wsh:.wsz:.xsl:.xlt:.xlw :clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=10,attach=.3gp:.ade:.adp:.app:.asd:.asf:.asp:.asx:.avi:.bas:.bat:.bin:.chm:.cil:.cla:.class:.cmd:.com:.cpl:.crt:.csh:.css:.dll:.dot:.email:.exe:.fxp:.hlp:.hta:.inf:.ins:.isp:.js:.jse:.ksh:.lnk:.mda:.mde:.mdt:.mdw:.mdz:.mkv:.mov:.mp3:.mpe:.mpeg:.mpg:.msc:.msi:.msp:.mst:.nws:.ocx:.ogg:.ogm.ops:.pcd:.pif:.pl:.pm:.pot:.prf:.prg:.ps:.rar:.reg:.scf:.scr:.sct:.shb:.shm:.shs:.url:.vb:.vbe:.vbs:.vxd:.wav:.wmd:.wmf:.wms:.wmv:.wmz:.wsc:.wsf:.wsh:.wsz:.xsl:.xlt:.xlw:.zip

and it works as I expected
I didn't know to make it happen with only 1 box

That's good thinking, Jake and PakOgah.

Is there some way tell simscan the name of the simcontrol file to use by setting an environment variable? If so, and if you can make all of your users use the submission port for submitting (can be done in squirrelmail config for webmail users, might be enforceable with iptables if you know the IP addresses of users), you could create a separate tcp.smtp file for the submission port, which would set an environment variable to tell simscan to use a different simcontrol file.

IMHO, this wouldn't be a bad change to make to the stock toaster, as (I've said before,) having a separate tcp.smtp file for submission would provide additional flexibility, even though it's not necessary in most cases.
