Can you elaborate more on the problems you are trying to solve? I
thought that Sogo could use Qmailtoaster's SMTP and therefore also
Submission, as they state on their web page: "Components reusability
as SOGo uses existing IMAP, SMTP, database and LDAP services."?

Sure it can reuse all components - just without authentication for SMTP :). But I'm quite confident that it'll be fixed one of these days, because it seems to be quite high up on the feature request list.
