This works very well and Eric is right in saying that you have to rebuild qmail-toaster after changing this in vpopmail. I have not seen any adverse effects after switching to this model (I use two toasters like this). Though I do not have a system with a huge number of domains, yet there was no performance difference between the two (for what that is worth).
