The problem probably lies in the chkuser configuration... (though it
could also be an issue with /var/qmail/control/badmailto)
The Wiki (wiki.qmailtoaster.com) has an article on re-compiling
qmail-toaster with different options (just search for chkuser)... the
example uses CentOS 4, but the same process works for CentOS 5 (and if
you're using CentOS 6, pretend [in the --with] that you're using CentOS 5!)

It's not the period (.), but the quote(') that is the problem.
While the latest qmail-toaster package (1.4.0, available in testing) has
been modified to accept a slew of special characters, the quote is sadly
not one of them. All 10 'slots' for special characters are now being
used, so you'll need to substitute the quote for one of the others. I've
no idea which one of those would be a good choice.
Tonino, what do you say about this? Can we have more than 10 special
characters allowed here?
