Hi Eric,

Sorry but on both of my systems it don't work:

CentOS 5.10:
# touch /tmp/testfile.txt
# tar -C /tmp -zcvf /tmp/testbackup.tgz "testfile*"
tar: testfile*: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

On CentOS 6.5:
# touch /tmp/testfile.txt
# tar -C /tmp -zcvf /tmp/testbackup.tgz "testfile*"
tar: testfile*: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
