Hi Sebastian,

We considered this (as in myself and my developers), but we had a "different" idea.

We're working on a solution that allows for:

* An interface built by a JavaScript developer interfacing with PHP code
* An interface effectively built with PHP code (and sent to the browser for rendering)
* An interface that's a bit of both

As a result, there are a few key methods we're interested in more than others.

Best regards,

Chris

Let me know if you need some help. I'm planning on spending enough
time to mirror 20-30% of the API in PHP (primarily the widgets that
I need for my application). But if I can apply that energy to part
of a larger project, I'd be happy to contribute.

In my opinion it must be possible to generate your PHP API from the API tree. Just take a look inside the file:

public\docs\script\docs-js.xml

after you have generated the documentation using (tools/makedocs.sh). There many informations of the available classes to reproduce them using PHP. Tell me please what you think about this idea.

Thanks.

Sebastian

We're working on something like this internally. It won't be ready for release for quite a while yet though...

Has anybody built any PHP wrapper code that lets you
generate qooxdoo
JavaScript from PHP code?
