I am sure that I need some of those features. I need different colored labels; I need clickable icons on a tree row; I need optional text right- aligned properly in a tree row. Currently, I have this implemented with PHP-generated pages and a small amount of javascript, and I need to ensure that I don't lose functionality in the move to qooxdoo. > I would like it better to start working on the new layouter as early as > possible. Given that there's not even yet been a 0.6 release, 0.7 is "long" into the future (for some particular value of "long"). As soon as I have some time to dedicate to development, I plan on working on a virtual Tree. We're talking days to weeks, not months. These two time-frames have no relation whatsoever. :-) Now if we could get a new layout system working in the next few weeks...
