in 0.5.x, you could do something like
var myWidget = new QxLabel("Timer is running");
[...]
window.application.addEventListener ("TimerCompleted",function(event){
this.setHtml("Timer completed!");
},myWidget);
Somewhere in timer code:
window.application.createDispatchEvent("TimerCompleted");
I assume that 0.6 works the same, you just need a differen target for
global events (window.application is no more).
