You will have to change the appearance of "tab-view-button" to set the

How can i change the color of the background, borders,...?
I tried this:
Var tab = new qx.ui.pageview.tabview.TabViewButton("test");
Tab.setBackgroundColor("blue");
But it doesn't work.

But think of clearing your cash if you are useing firefox on windows. I
always will have to do this if I want to see my changes. Under Linux I
don't need this.

No, you just have to refresh your browser.
So if you change eg. frontend/demo/build/html/test/Atom_1.html and
change the line:
var la1 = new qx.ui.basic.Atom("Test No #1", "icon/16/bell.png");
to
var la1 = new qx.ui.basic.Atom("Tobias Koller was here",
"icon/16/bell.png");
and reload the the file (be aware of caching effects, hit CTRL+F5
(STRG+F5)) you should see the changes.

Hi Tobias!
Welcome to the qooxdoo comunity!
The first step I did was to use one of the demo files and modify it.
The demos are in your qooxdoo tree in the path frontend/demo/build/htm
and then the subdirectories test and example.
The demos are also available at http://demo.qooxdoo.org

i tried to install and run qooxdoo but I don't know how to start.
The Tutorials on qooxdoo.org doesn't help me that much.
I installed cygwin, ran the "make"-File. I got the folder structure
but where
Do I have to put my sources? Do I always have to create js-Files?
Do I always create the Buildfiles for developing?
You know what I mean?
Or could someone send me example-Code, Screenshots,...?
