You can also use the "changeDate" event. It's not a documented event,  
it simply exists because there is a property called "date" in the  
DateChooser (which stores the currently selected date). This  
mechanism also works for any other property in qooxdoo: Simply add an  
event listener for "change<Property>", and you'll get notified of any  
changes.

In case of the DateChooser, you can get a single click selection  
behaviour by listening to "changeDate". Of course, as Jim pointed  
out, you cannot use the keyboard for selecting the date in this case.
