Looks like http://api.qooxdoo.org/#qx.client.History might be useful for us. It 
implements full control of browser history already.

Pity about the broken documentation - I had already noticed this and logged a 
bug at http://bugzilla.qooxdoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=229
