Yes, that is the problem with any language like this - Python as well.  gzip 
picks up on any repeated text and gets rid of it, so it wouldn't make a huge 
difference to the size of a zipped script, I suppose. 

I can understand that there are higher priorities. Certainly, implementing a 
"Comet" socket layer comes higher on my list (most of the stuff on 
http://qooxdoo.org/community/wishlist#io) as we're implementing an observer 
pattern with polling right now; server push of the data would be even better.
