OK, it was my fault. It is really not mentioned in the release nodes.

Yes, but you must enable the following option in your Makefile, too.

APPLICATION_RESOURCE_FILTER = true

Mhh, one thing you have maybe missed. You must also define your  
images, if any, with the embed. Otherwise they will not be copied  
during the build process anymore.
