BTW, if you're implementing your own Data Cell Renderer, if you implement the method getRowData(), then you'll have all of the columns of the row available to you in the cellInfo.rowData array. If by neighboring columns, you mean those columns in *the same row* that are neighboring, this should be all you need. Also, you'll likely want to be investigating the method _update_content_orig() in TablePane.js, which is where the cell renderer gets called from. Getting to know that method will give you a much better understanding of what the row renderer and cell renderer are doing.
