Hurray, we're not alone. ;-)

Well, it took us quite some time to arrive a the current state of qooxdoo
OO. ;-) On the one hand JavaScript allows for amazing features due to its
dynamic nature, on the other hand it has some rather awkward restrictions
(reserved keywords for example). Currently, it looks like we found a solid
combination of power, elegance and performance. Of course, we are very
interested in user feedback as well as our own testing for real-life use of
the new OO features.

Some people might argue that qooxdoo hides the underlying prototypical
nature of JavaScript. Yes, they are absolutely right! But we do not restrict
the fundamental scripting features of the language. Regarding OO, though,
you simply cannot neglect the power and wide-spread use of certain concepts
(like classes). JS2 will bring many of those concepts (classes, interfaces,
etc.) right back into the language anyway.

Always exciting to get a thumbs-up from happy users! ;-)

Andreas
