I never used the DateChooser but

It should be something like:

chooser.addEventListener("select", function(e) {

      // Where is the chosen date?

        var selectedDate = e.getData().getContent();

        Alert(selectedDate);

     },

     this);

Don't forget the closing ')' after '},this' in your example. ;)

Betreff: [qooxdoo-devel] Date chooser events

Sorry for the newbie question, but how do you use the "select" event

from DateChooser?

 From the examples:

     var chooser = new qx.ui.component.DateChooser;

     chooser.setLocation(400, 50);

     chooser.setWidth("auto");

     chooser.setHeight("auto");

     d.add(chooser);

     chooser.addEventListener("select", function(e) {

      // Where is the chosen date?

        this.debug("DateChooser clicked!");

     },

     this;

I added the event listener and I know that I should get a DataEvent. But

  I can't work out how to get the date chosen.

Also I'll just mention that the API documentation is broken in the

qx.Event.DataEvent page, in the constructor section.

Thanks.
