Hi everybody! This is just a small announcement regarding a follow-up release of the current qooxdoo beta series. Its name is qooxdoo-0.7-beta2. You can download it through SVN (tags\release_0_7-beta2).
Our current time frame does not allow us to create a full-fledged release now. However we want to give you a chance to use the latest development snapshot for your project(s). This release can be seen as feature complete. All major changes are included e.g. new OO capabilities, new properties, new theme features, final API layout, etc. It is not expected that there is a further major rework of the framework classes, like you have seen in the last days and weeks. The API should be (quite) stable from now on. Please be aware that, even if looks really good yet, this release is not meant to be used in production environments now. It may however be a better starting point for new projects than the last stable release (0.6.6). The main reason for this is that it will not need a migration and you can directly start using all these fancy new features. It may also be interesting for existing projects. If you have some resources available now, it would be wonderful if you can try to migrate your project and send us feedback of your success and issues. The stable version of 0.7 is planned for Tuesday, the 5th of June. Hope you like it. Now is a good time to report bugs and test out the features. Thank you for all your support.
