Hi Florian, > I can't find any information or examples how mixins work with > appearances (or is it called "patching"). Yesterday I've heard that it > should work with qx 0.7.1. What's the difference beetween patching and > mixing? > Mixins for appearances work very much like mixins for qooxdoo classes <http://qooxdoo.org/documentation/0.7/mixins>. The methods "qx.Theme.include" and "qx.Theme.patch" will copy all keys from one appearance theme (the mixin) to another one (e.g. classic). The difference between both methods is that "patch" will overwrite keys in the target, which are defined in the mixin and the target and "include" will raise an exception in these cases.
> Hmmm. I don't understand the documentation :-( Patching is something > like "extend"? With mixins you can basically enhance existing themes/classes after they are defined.
