Is the backend server running? You can't run those from the qooxdoo site, since it does not provide a backend. You have to run them on your local site and ensure that your server is running. If your server is running, I recommend trying the tests using Firefox with Firebug installed, and ensure that the RPC request is going to the server. I highly suspect that the request goes out, but nothing comes back (i.e. a server-side issue).
