Hi list, Now that I've gotten my feet wet with Javascript, got through the qooxdoo tutorial, and pretty much feel I can start developing a simple qooxdoo application (finally getting cygwin make to work from d: - instead of c: all the time - thanks thron7), I like to know about other facilities that can make my life easier and become more productive.
I've tried js support in eclipse and to be honest, I don't see that it buys me that much over a good editor with Javascript support. The little benefit it brings seems to be out-weighted by the frustration that comes along when using eclipse. The on-line qooxdoo wiki points to two other projects: Aptana and qxtransformer. Aptana support for qooxdoo appears to be in limbo until somebody can revive it. qxtransformer makes quite some bold claims (see http://qooxdoo.org/documentation/related_projects/qxtransformer) but as far as I can tell, it's only in alpha status. Has anybody gone through with it and see if it works as claimed? Any other packages you would recommend? Is there a layout designer that supports qooxdoo?
