Do you plan to use the HtmlArea component in any real application?

For now the HtmlArea only contains the editor component and does not bring a toolbar component with it. The main goal of the HtmlArea is to develop a rock-solid and light-weight editor component for qooxdoo users. However it is not difficult to connect a toolbar with the HtmlArea. All you have to do is to call the corresponding methods of the HtmlArea in your several event listeners of your toolbar buttons. A small example of a "toolbar" (a bunch of buttons aligned within a HBox) is included in the "Application.js" file in the trunk version of the HtmlArea located in the qooxdoo-contrib repository. Currently Jonathan and I are working at the HtmlArea and we are thinking of implementing a "plug-in" architecture in the future to enhance the power of the HtmlArea without mixing it up with the main editor component. A toolbar component may be a good candidate for plug-in. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. cheers, Alex ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
