Hello, [I've looked on the lists and not seen anyone ask this previously]
I've been trying to work out the best way to implement a floating status panel which I can fade in and out when there's a new status to show. (A bit like the status messages that appear in Ubuntu these days) Should I be creating a top-level Canvas and then putting my existing VBox instead it, or is the top-level Document sufficient (as it implements the IDesktop interface) in itself? Any help would be appreciated. (It's the widget hierarchy that I need help on, not the effects) I was looking at the Demos.animation.Showcase example to see how it did it, and it creates two DIVs in the HTML harness outside qooxdoo, which I guess is a possibility, but I'd like them to be proper widgets.
