I tried setting the encoding to UTF-8 at the top of index.html and it didn't
help. I don't think it's an encoding issue, because lots of other UTF-8
stuff shows up fine. I looked at the QooxDoo code for the password text
entry box, and it doesn't seem to do anything to set what the dots are, so
that must be something that's built in to the browser. Looks like an IE or
Windows issue, but it would sure be nice to find a workaround, because it
looks really weird. (Here's a screenshot:
