Lisp is a huge language where we often suspect a function or class or variable must exist (either in Lisp or a large application) for what we want to do but we are not sure of the name, we just know it will have "LEFT" or "BUTTON" or "SCROLL" in it somewhere. That's when I turn to apropos instead of leafing thru a thick spec (and for my app no doc exists). Boring, but it uses a nice set of widgets to get the job done. I have simplified it quite a bit -- the original had combo-boxes and select boxes, but they were UI overkill. kt -- http://www.stuckonalgebra.com "The best Algebra tutorial program I have seen... in a class by itself."
