I'm no Java expert, but I guess the Java run time has some default time
zone it uses when printing times. If that is not what you want, you
might have to supply a time zone when asking for the print
representation of a given datum. I wouldn't expect it to "automagically"
restore the time zone from the front end, as usually times get
normalized internally.
